Nikki holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University, where she also earned her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2013. With 16 years of experience teaching grades 1-3 in public schools, she is deeply passionate about education, fostering connections, and serving her community.
Nikki has been married to her husband, Eric, for 19 years. The couple met at Ball State University and are now raising their two wonderful children, Aiden and Hailey. Together, they love embarking on camping adventures and exploring the beauty of nature.
Sherryl was born and raised in Anderson, Indiana. She graduated from Indiana Christian Academy and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from MBU in Wisconsin. Married to her husband Eric for 37 years, Sherryl had the joy of homeschooling their daughter, Erica (26), during her preschool and elementary years.
Throughout her career, Sherryl has taught students of various ages in diverse educational and para-educational settings. Last year marked her first year as an official preschool teacher at Fall Creek Christian Preschool. She expresses her gratitude for the opportunity to be a positive influence in the lives of preschoolers, saying, "Our families, especially our children, are the first and most important calling in each of our lives. Every child is a unique and precious person to God. He gives parents and the caregivers/educators they hire the privilege and responsibility to help them know God and become the person He wants them to be." (Proverbs 32:6, Luke 2:52).
Kim and her husband are proud parents of two children and recently relocated to Middletown, where they are building their dream home in the countryside. They enjoy exploring their wooded property and are dedicated to creating a homestead, complete with flower fields, gardens, and animal pastures.
Kim holds a degree in Public Health Education from Indiana University in Bloomington and is an AFAA-certified Group Fitness Instructor. She previously owned a small fitness business for women that welcomed children to join their mothers in class.
Now in her third year at Fall Creek Christian Preschool, Kim is excited to connect with the staff and children in this wonderful program. She is grateful for the opportunity to continue serving preschoolers five days a week.
Katlynn has been happily married to her husband, Taylor, for seven years. Together, they are raising three wonderful children: Carson (10), Paislee (5), and Ambrielle (4). They have been members of Fall Creek Christian Church for about five years and truly cherish their community there. Katlynn enjoys cooking, cheering on her kids at their sports events, and vacationing with family and friends.
Currently, Katlynn is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Indiana Wesleyan University. Since 2018, she has gained valuable experience in education, serving as an assistant teacher at Head Start and in the special needs department for ACSC. Her passion lies in teaching, particularly young children.
Katlynn feels that Fall Creek Christian Preschool is where God has led her, and she is excited to be in her third year with the FCCP team. She looks forward to this journey of serving your children and building meaningful relationships with everyone. We are truly blessed that God has brought her to FCCP! Her experience, knowledge, and genuine passion for nurturing young minds are sure to be a wonderful gift to our preschoolers.
Lucia has three years of experience working in a pre-K setting before embracing the wonderful opportunity to be a full-time grandmother. For the past seven years, she has had the joy of teaching her six grandchildren—and with one more on the way, she’ll soon have seven! Lucia enjoys reading, cross-stitching, and playing cards. After serving as an assistant last year, she is excited to now teach the two’s class.
Kayla Schaefer is a dedicated mom of a lively two-year-old and a passionate advocate for effective communication and leadership. With a bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Business, and Leadership from Franklin College, she brings a strong foundation in project management and organizational skills to everything she does.
Before embracing motherhood, Kayla Schaefer thrived as a project manager, where she honed her ability to lead teams and deliver results in dynamic environments. Since marrying in 2020, she has balanced her professional background with the joys and challenges of family life, continually applying her expertise to foster strong relationships and create a nurturing home.
Outside of her family commitments, Kayla Schaefer is passionate about her church family, MomCo, being in the outdoors, and cooking. She is always seeking new ways to connect and engage with her community.
Cori is a devoted mother of three amazing kids: Jackson (18) and twins Ella and Emma (14). She has been happily married for 19 years, having tied the knot at Fall Creek Christian Church. Cori has a deep passion for working with children from all walks of life. She has been blessed to work with kids at Be Strong, an organization dedicated to strengthening mental and emotional health. Cori is excited to engage with preschoolers, helping them grow and learn in a safe and fun environment.
Amber has lived in Pendleton for seven years with her husband, John, and their three daughters: bonus daughter Maddy (10), Ellie (4), and Talulah (2). They are active members of Fall Creek Christian Church, and her two youngest currently attend FCCP. In addition to her family commitments, Amber serves as the assistant JV volleyball coach at PHHS. When she’s not coaching, Amber enjoys playing board games, taking road trips, baking treats, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Mykuh moved to Shirley at the beginning of this year from Bloomington and loves embracing the country lifestyle. She enjoys hiking, bonfires, and spending quality time with friends and family. At 21 years old, Mykuh discovered her passion for working with children at a young age. She finds inspiration in their laughter, curiosity, and unfiltered excitement.
With years of experience as a nanny and babysitter, Mykuh believes that every interaction is an opportunity to spark imagination and growth, as well as a chance to share the gospel. This belief led her to pursue teaching, and she chose this preschool because of its commitment to nurturing the same values.
A guiding force in Mykuh’s life is her faith and love for Jesus. She is dedicated to sharing His love with others, instilling kindness and joy in every moment.
Marla and her husband, Rick, moved to Pendleton two years ago to be closer to their 11 grandchildren. With eight years of preschool teaching experience at her Indianapolis church, Marla has also led women’s ministry. She is passionate about sharing God’s truths from the Bible, witnessing His Word transform lives, and connecting with people of all ages.
Celebrating 49 years of marriage, Marla and Rick are blessed with four married daughters and their cherished grandchildren—her most important mission field. In her free time, Marla enjoys playing pickleball, walking, attending her grandkids’ sporting events, knitting, traveling with her husband, and being part of a loving church family.
At FCCP, Marla will serve as a volunteer and guest teacher as needed. She is also one of the dedicated leaders and mentors in the moms’ ministry, MOMCO. We are grateful that she feels led to serve at FCCP!
Mandy married her college sweetheart, Tom, and they immediately dove into full-time ministry, where they’ve happily served ever since. Their first 16 years were in youth ministry, a time they jokingly say was to avoid growing up!
Together, Mandy and Tom have celebrated 34 years of ministry, with the last 15 at Fall Creek Christian Church. They are blessed with four daughters, a son, four sons-in-law, and four grandchildren—clearly, they LOVE kids! They also cherish their church family and are thrilled to see Fall Creek Christian Preschool come to life. Mandy’s granddaughter loves the program, and Mandy appreciates that she receives the same messages about God’s love and plan at school that she hears at home.
You might catch Mandy running around with the kids as she fills in as a substitute when needed. Additionally, she is one of the wonderful leaders and mentors in the moms’ ministry, MOMCO. Mandy looks forward to meeting you and, as her story suggests, she continues to find ways to embrace her inner child!
